Primary Spotlight: Emma

Let's not talk about how I haven't posted on this blog since July...

Sometimes, you think you know your kid.  In this case, I do...and then...I don't.  Emma still surprises me.  I received an email from Emma's primary church leader.  They spotlight one child each week and asked us to fill out a questionnaire.

I proceeded to fill out the questionnaire with what I thought Emma's answers would be.  After all, I AM her mother and I know EVERYTHING about my daughter.  Right?  Nope.  The last question forced me to ask her because I wasn't really sure what she would say.  Her answer impressed me so much that I went back and asked her all the questions, and the answers were all different than what I had originally filled out.

Point?  This mom is still learning, and I love that she is changing and growing every day.  I have made it a resolution to ask her more about her own thoughts, ideas and feelings--because who knows what she might say. ;)
