David's Baby Blessing

Our little boy was officially given a name and a blessing at church today.  The blessing was given by David's dad and was very special.  The elders that assisted in the blessing were Patrick Haines, Ian Waugh, Thomas Whipple, Tommy Dunn, and his uncle, Brad McGary.

Some highlights from the blessing were the following:

• that David will be a strong child with a strong spirit and that he would have the fortitude to withstand the challenges that he will face in life
• that David will be a man of the scriptures and that he will study and understand the word of God
• that David will be a leader among friends, family and coworkers--a leader in righteousness
• that David will be kind and have a soft spirit
• that David will have the gift of compassion
• that David will be healthy throughout his life

After church, the McGarys came over to celebrate the day with dinner and dessert.  The cousins were able to play together and we even snapped a few family pictures.

We had a lively bunch.  Believe it or not, this was the only picture that had everyone looking.  

It was a good day.
